Luke was born in Dahramsala, India, where his father was a translator and official photographer to the Dalai Lama.

At a young age, Luke moved with his family to London. He spent these early years in the darkroom watching his father printing photos from his travels in South East Asia, where an inherent passion of photography was discovered.

Luke nurtured this passion by completing the Professional Photography Practice course at the London College of Printing (now LCC).

Luke’s own photographic style has developed over the years, arriving at a clean, cinematic lighting style, having taken influence from his passion for both photography and cinema.

Alongside this, he has been sought after by some of the top photographers in London, working as lighting director on many movie posters including Star Wars, James Bond, Fantastic Beasts and Mary Poppins.

Luke is based in Camden, North London.
